What happens when a community comes together to celebrate financial wellness? On October 16, Common Wealth Charlotte (CWC) brought supporters and community partners together at The Auto Pour for an autumn auction fundraiser in celebration of the American Bankers Association Foundation’s “Get Smart About Credit” Day. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the evening raised $20,474 to support CWC’s mission!
This collective contribution helps CWC guide individuals and families through trauma-informed financial education, counseling, and resources. Every gift supports the work of expanding pathways toward economic mobility, and this evening was a celebration of the community helping make that work possible.
During this event, guests had the opportunity to connect, learn, and give by:
Bidding: A silent auction featured private golf lessons, elegant jewelry, athlete autographs, a Kiawah Island beach stay, and more, offering supporters a way to give while taking home something special.
Connecting: Heavy hors d’oeuvres and $20 drink cards provided an opportunity for supporters and community partners to spend time together around a shared commitment to financial wellness.
Playing: FICO hosted an interactive educational game inspired by “Get Smart About Credit” Day invited guests to connect while exploring the importance of credit knowledge.
Watching: A special premiere of CWC’s newest About Us video highlighting our revised mission supporting individuals and families on their financial journey.
Thank you to everyone who attended; the $20,474 raised reflects a shared commitment to helping individuals and families cultivate stronger financial futures. We can’t wait to host you at CWC’s next event!
And a huge thank you to our generous Bloom sponsors, FICO and Jack Henry, for making this event possible. We also would like to recognize our official transportation partner, Just Her Rideshare, for offering guests a discounted ride so that they could safely attend in comfort.
