CWC Celebrated Its 10th Birthday with “The Faces of Change”!
In 2015, Common Wealth Charlotte’s (CWC) founder, Darren Ash, formed a team to study clinical data on financial trauma. He and members of the team traveled extensively around the U.S. speaking with other organizations engaged in similar activities. Ten years later, the experiment is a success. CWC proves every day that a dedicated client can successfully move away from continual reliance on government or charitable assistance into graduated tiers of financial capability. And this Financial Literacy Month, CWC hosted a fundraiser in celebration of its 10th birthday, The Faces of Change, highlighting a 10-Year retrospective of Charlotte's quest for upward economic mobility.
Guests received more than just delicious coffee and warm community. This was a morning of inspiring milestones and motivating stories along with continental breakfast by Manolo's Bakery; a recap of 10 years of outcomes (see below); mingling with CWC staff, investors, volunteers, and clients; as well as an opportunity support CWC financially – totaling over $33,000 raised!
